September 4-8 in betOnest. Join the ritual of conjuring a congress of future witchcraft!
why?
We find that the activities of the so-called witches in the 14th to 17th centuries - birth control, dis-planting hedges, and rubbing flying ointment into the skin - were political direct action. how can we use similar practices to undo the inscriptions of patriarchy, enlightenment and private property in our bodies, with our bodies?
what?
A rigorous workshop, an exploration of ritual, a practice to make our collective body resilient, and a magical conjuring of an ominous event called The Future Witchcraft World Congress.
We creep up on witchcraft through tools of our phantasies and
physics, shaking up our hormonal systems. We share our moving library on
(future) witchcraft through unstructural reading and writing practices
to invent rituals for inexpedient used time together.
We bring a rigid structure and we'll be happy if you destroy it in consonance with your personal needs.
who?
The workshop program is curated by Judith Förster and Flupsi Upsi, taking material from the future witchcraft residency and from their own practice.
